Other North Yorkshire coast artist groups. Spotlight feature on the group in 'Artists & Illustrators' summer edition |

Art has been my ‘other interest’ after agriculture. Apart from a period in the 1950s when photography dominated I have always painted. I have sought out good artist tutors and learned from them. A Foundation Course and an ‘A’ level in Art along with sculpting have broadened my knowledge. I have taught painting in Further Education and still lead a painting group. I have demonstrated to many art societies and been honoured to be invited to judge and appraise their work at exhibitions and meetings. I work in pastels, acrylics, watercolours, gouache and oils. I have had three one-man exhibitions, two combined exhibitions and show widely at open exhibitions including the Pastel Society at the Mall Gallery in London where, in 2006 I received the Frank Herring award. I have pictures in municipal ownership and in private collections throughout the World. I am President of Driffield Art Club, and a member of Hornsea Art Society.
